Elizabeth Verzariu, President, has worked in educational publishing for more than 25 years, specializing in the development of supplemental and basal materials for the K-12 market. Dr. Verzariu earned her M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College and her Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese from The Catholic University of America. Prior to her career in publishing, Dr. Verzariu taught Spanish and French at the elementary, high school, and university levels. She is the author of several supplemental texts in Spanish and French and is primary author of a high school Spanish program. Dr. Verzariu founded Expert Editions in 2002 and has successfully directed and managed all editorial development.

Giulia Verzariu, Business Development Manager, has substantial experience in public and client relations. After receiving her degree from the University of Maryland, Ms. Verzariu was responsible for a wide range of inter-departmental management and training at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). With Expert Editions, Ms. Verzariu has served as project manager and editor for several multi-grade basal Reading programs. In addition to currently directing the sales and marketing of Expert Editions, Ms. Verzariu also applies her considerable managerial and organizational skills to the ongoing operation and development of the company.

Jamie Greene, Managing Editor, capitalizes on a broad background of educational and writing experience through his work with Expert Editions. After receiving his degree from the University of Virginia, Mr. Greene served in the collections division of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He then spent several years living in China, teaching English to students of all ages and skill levels, translating and editing academic, business, and government publications, and working as a freelance writer. With Expert Editions, Mr. Greene has served as project manager, writer, and senior editor for English Language Development, Language Arts, and Social Studies projects.

Jacquie Rosenborough, Production Manager, has more than 25 years of experience in publishing and production management. She possesses an in-depth knowledge of all elements of production, including typesetting, design, page building, and project management. In her capacity with Expert Editions, Mrs. Rosenborough oversees all levels of production, from tracking of manuscript, art, and pages through final product.

Tristan Horrom, Writer/Editor, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Saint Mary’s College of Maryland. Mr. Horrom has developed, written, edited, and managed state assessment tests, core reading program ancillaries, and leveled decodable readers. As primary editor for many Expert Editions projects, he brings a natural creativity, keen attention to detail, and wealth of knowledge to his work.

Isabel Nadeau, Project Manager/Editor, is a skilled writer, editor, translator, and project manager who has managed the translation of several basal programs in Mathematics, Reading, and Social Studies. Most recently, she oversaw the development of the second grade level of a Spanish reading program, directing the translation and adaptation of student anthologies, teacher editions, ancillaries, and decodables. A native of Colombia, South America, Mrs. Nadeau is fluent in English and understands the importance of precise translations, having managed an airline at the Bogota airport and a communications company in Cali, Colombia. Mrs. Nadeau attended the College of Business Administration in Bogota, Colombia, and Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia.


Lynn Frankel, Writer/Editor, started her career in publishing as a proofreader and graphic artist for the Baltimore City Paper where she was employed for three years. She then taught middle school math for two years and worked three years as an editor and project manager for a curriculum developer. Mrs. Frankel's publishing work includes writing and editing basal and supplemental materials for English Language Development, Mathematics, and Social Studies programs. She holds a B.A. in History and a B.S. in Mathematics from St. Mary's College of Maryland, and an M.A. in Teaching along with a Maryland Teaching Certification (Secondary Mathematics) from the College of Notre Dame in Maryland.


David Moser, Writer/Editor, has extensive experience with ELL curriculum development and instruction. He began his professional career as a teacher, writer, and consultant for several national and multinational organizations throughout Spain. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Moser has applied his skills as writer and editor to English and Spanish textbook development, test
preparation, and language training. Some of the many organizations with
which he has collaborated are Kaplan, the World Bank, Voice of America, and
the Inter-American Development Bank. Mr. Moser received his degree from
Beloit College and brings to Expert Editions an unparalleled commitment to
quality.


Rolando Prats-Paez, Writer/Editor/Translator, worked for four years as Senior Mathematics and Science Editor with a major publisher. As a consultant, he has also contributed as writer, editor, translator, and project manager to basal materials in Spanish Reading, Social Studies, and World Languages. A native of Cuba, Mr. Prats-Paez taught Russian for several years at the State Committee for Economic Cooperation and at the University of Havana Institute of Technology. He holds a bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Havana's Institute of Foreign Languages and a master's degree in Latin American History from the Institute of Graduate Latin American Studies of the University of the Sorbonne, Paris.
